Our ESL classes are split into five different classes. Each class represents a different level of English proficiency. Prior to the first session of ESL class, each student takes a placement test to confirm his or her English proficiency. Based on the results of each student's placement test, he or she is placed accordingly into one of the five ESL classes. This splitting of our students into different classes targets each level of English learners so that the students can be surrounded by similar learners like themselves. Each ESL class lasts five hours and is offered only in the summer, Monday through Friday from 1 pm to 6 pm. Each hour in the course is crucial to the students as each hour focuses on one specific aspect of the English language. The hours are split accordingly:
